Love this place. AUTHENTIC comida de Puebla México.
I love the Chile en nogada so much. It’s usually most commonly had around Mexican Independence- but here you can have it any time!
Everything on the menu is great.
Normally, the service is great( the mother of the owners is A GEM- love her) but it seems the server was new- not attentive at all.
But that won’t keep me from going back over…and over again.
Chile en nogado was the star of the table - a savory concoction of poblano, fruits, nuts in an amazing creamy, sweet sauce - a real taste treat!
Chicken poblano mole was rich, dark and delicious - chicken was tender and mole was flavorful and perfectly balanced.
Our favorite with the chips was a tasty, mildly flavored bean/chorizo dip. House marg was smooth and boozy, a real value at $6! Service was attentive and helpful.
Overall, Chile Verde is a satisfying and delicious dining experience, an excellent value and we will return.
The food is hit or miss in terms of taste. The service is usually pretty bad. But I was on the fence with ordering there after I tried it a few times and I decided to go ahead and give it another try and the food was good and the portions were fair. We ordered today and for $20, the portions were pathetic and did not include rice, which comes with the dish. I was back and forth with this place, but after the inconsistent food and the mostly poor service, and finally this absolute waste of $20, I will not be coming back. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
This place was nearly empty which doesn't make sense considering how good the food was. If you like mole sauce and other fancier style dishes it is a winner. Our 4 year old also finished a entire adult serving of shrimp she loved it so much.
Chili Verde entree was great! My son got the flautas and liked them a lot and he's VERY picky. Loved the salsa that came with the chips...not too spicy, but then they also offer a spicy one, as well. Got a take out box and it had compartments! This may not seem like a big deal, but it was so nice not having all the food run together!
Came here for Father’s Day dinner and had the best time! The food was fantastic, and by far some of the most authentic we’ve had in Colorado. We got the Mole Pablano, the pork and the shrimp de ajo, everything was so so good I highly recommend the mole!! We ended with the tres leches cake which was just as delicious and authentic. I will be recommending this to everyone. My only comment would be our service was very slow and not the most personable, but we did meet Eder who was amazing and so kind. You can tell he’s very passionate about what food he makes. Will be back!!!
Kind of a sensory nightmare. The lights were way too bright and shining in my eyes. The music was blasting way too loud to the point where my friends and I couldn't have a conversation. And we're young! And the place smelled really strongly of moldy mop water. The server was nice but she got my order wrong. I ate the dish, which was a different mole chicken than I'd ordered and it was decent. The margaritas were small, weak and way too sweet and fairly expensive. This place could be pretty nice if they would just tone it down a bit. Even my plate was ostentatiously large, with a huge rim and a small center for the food; way too big for the small table. Really silly choices left and right. Would not go back.
I feel fortunate to stumble across this place on a random weekday night and to meet the owner, Hans, who was very friendly and provided great service. I appreciated the recommendations. The food was very unique compared to most Mexican restaurants I've been to and I'm excited to come back to try more of the menu! Service was a bit disjointed, but friendly.
